Serengeti National Park
The Serengeti ecosystem is a geographical region in Africa, spanning northern Tanzania. The protected area within the region includes approximately 30,000 km² of land, including the Serengeti National Park and several game reserves.
Kilimanjaro
At 5895 m above sea level, Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain range in Africa. In 1987 the landscape was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The ice cap of Kilimanjaro is strong and increasingly affected by global warming: between 1912 and 2020, the ice layer has already shrunk by 85% and is expected to have completely disappeared by 2030.
Ngorongoro
Ngorongoro is a collapse crater in Tanzania on the edge of the Serengeti. It was created when a volcanic mountain collapsed at this point. The crater floor is at around 1700 m and the side walls are between 400 and 600 meters high, so that the crater edge is at around 2300 m. The diameter of the crater is between 17 and 21 kilometers. In total, the crater has an area of 26,400 hectares.

Mikumi National Park is located around 280 km west of Dar es Salaam and was founded in 1964. With an area of 3230 km² it is one of the largest national parks in Tanzania. The park is located in the northwest of the Selous wildlife sanctuary. Compared to other national parks in Tanzania, such as Serengeti National Park and Ruaha National Park, Mikumi National Park is smaller and less known. It is easily accessible from Dar es Salaam.

Nakupenda Beach
Nakupenda Beach is a sandbar about 4.0 km off the west coast of Zanzibar. At low tide it forms a white dream beach, which is one of the most popular destinations for a trip from the island belonging to Tanzania. The small island can only be reached by one of the passenger boats from Zanzibar City.

What to eat
