Our travel guides for all the known cities of the world, but also for the cities that are not so well known, but have wonderful places that are worth visiting, will definitely help you in your next trip. We decided to write about all cities, because every city has his own beauties and we think it would be a little unfair for them not to be seen and discovered by you, dear reader.
That is why our blog is unique: here you will find guides for important cities such as capitals, but also guides for other cities smaller in size and population.
In 2022, the list of the top 20 most populated countries remained similar to the 2021 edition, with a slight change in numbers and positions. Tokyo kept its status as the world’s largest city, with 37 million inhabitants, while Delhi and Shanghai, followed in second and third positions.
African cities Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Lagos in Nigeria gathered the highest rates, with respectively a 4.39% and a 3.54% increase in residents in 1 year. The largest city in the American continent is still Sao Paulo in Brazil, followed closely by Mexico City and Buenos Aires in Argentina, further down the table. In Europe, Istanbul is the most populous, with more than 14.5 million residents. New York is the largest city in the world by area at 12,093 km2 (4,669 mi2). New York’s estimated population is 20,870,000, the highest in the United States. Of the ten largest global cities by area, eight are in the United States.
Based on the big cities we have visited so far, our favorites cities skylines are Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bangkok and Frankfurt.
Of course, for now we have not visited the big cities of the United States of America, China, Japan or Brazil, but we are looking forward to visiting them and probably our list of favorite cities will change.
