Batu caves

The Batu Caves are limestone caves around 15 kilometers north of the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur and are home to several Hindu temples. A nearby village bears the same name. Both received it from the Batu River, which flows past the small limestone massif. Although the caves had long been known to the local tribes, they did not become famous until 1878 by the American William Temple Hornaday.

Petronas twin towers

Petronas Towers is the name of a pair of skyscrapers built by the petroleum company Petronas in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. With a total height of 452 meters, the twin towers tower over the city.

Menara Kuala Lumpur

At 421 meters, the Menara Kuala Lumpur is the tallest television tower in Malaysia and the seventh highest in the world. The Langkawi Sky-Bridge is a curved pedestrian cable-stayed bridge on the west coast of the island of Langkawi in the far northwest of Malaysia at almost 700 m, offering a breathtaking view of the Andaman Sea. It was completed in 2005 and is 125 meters long. The bridge has triangular platforms at both ends and a width of 1.80 meters.

The Kek-Lok-Si Temple is a Chinese Buddhist place of worship in the Air Itam, a suburb of George Town on the island of Penang. It is one of the largest temples of its art in all of Southeast Asia and is gilded as the premier Buddhist temple in Malaysia. His name can be translated as “Temple of Supreme Happiness”. The mosque was designed by Arthur Benison Hubback, and built in 1909.
The name “Jamek” is the Malay equivalent of the Arabic word jāmiʿ (جامع) meaning a place where people congregate to worship.It is also referred to as “Friday Mosque” by the locals.

Construction of the mosque began in 1997 and was completed two years later.It is located on Putra Square and is adjacent to man-made Putrajaya Lake.The pink-domed Putra Mosque is constructed with rose-tinted granite and consists of three main functional areas – the prayer hall, the Sahn, or courtyard, and various learning facilities and function rooms. The mosque can accommodate 15,000 worshippers at any one time.

The Sri Mahamariamman Temple (Tamil: ஸ்ரீ மகாமாரியம்மன் திருக்கோவில்,கோலாலம்பூர்) is the oldest Hindu temple in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Founded in 1873, it is situated at the edge of Chinatown in Jalan Bandar (formerly High Street). In 1968, a new structure was built, featuring the ornate ‘Raja Gopuram’ tower in the style of South Indian temples.From its inception, the temple provided an important place of worship for early Indian immigrants and is now an important cultural and national heritage.The Sri Mahamariamman Temple was founded by K. Thamboosamy Pillai in 1873 and was initially used as a private shrine by the Pillai family. The family threw the temple doors open to the public in the late 1920s and eventually handed the management of the temple over to a board of trustees.

The Crystal Mosque or Masjid Kristal is a mosque in Wan Man, Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu, Malaysia. A grand structure made of steel, glass and crystal, the mosque is located at the Islamic Heritage Park on the island of Wan Man. The mosque was constructed between 2006 and 2008, and was officially inaugurated on 8 February 2008 by the 13th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin of Terengganu. It has the capacity to accommodate over 1,500 worshipers at a time.

The Kota Kinabalu City Mosque (Malay: Masjid Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu) is the second main mosque in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, after State Mosque in Sembulan. The head imam is Ustaz Haji Hafiz Bin Datuk Dr Haji Hamzah.Preparations for the mosque began in 1989, and the installation of foundation piles began in 1992. Construction was delayed between 1993 and 1994 owing to a lack of funds.The mosque was officially opened on 2 February 2000 following a proclamation of the city status of Kota Kinabalu.Construction of the mosque cost 34 million Malaysian ringgits. The architectural design is based on the Nabawi Mosque, the second holiest site in Islam, in Medina, Saudi Arabia. The dome is blue and gold, inspired by similar Arabic architecture.

The Taiping Lake Gardens (Malay: Taman Tasik Taiping) is the first public garden established during the British rule in Malaysia. The garden is located near Bukit Larut, and is equidistant to the town centre and the Taiping Zoo.The Taiping Lake Gardens was originally a mining ground before it was established as a public garden in 1880. The idea of a public garden was the brainchild of Colonel Robert Sandilands Frowd Walker.The garden was developed by Charles Compton Reade (1880–1933), who was also responsible for planning the Kuala Lumpur garden town, together with Lady Swettenham.

Located 4,600 feet above sea level, the temple is about 5–10 minutes’ drive down from the peak of the mountain.Within the temple is seated a statue of Master Qingshui, a Buddhist monk who has long been worshipped as a Deity in Fujian Province, China for his miraculous abilities to summon rain and subdue evil spirits.The temple attracts many local and foreign devotees from Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, China, Thailand and Indonesia.
