We were quite impatient at the beginning of 2019 because we were embarking on the journey of a lifetime in a few days. In order to experience the Indian Ocean in Khao Lak, we flew to Thailand after ordering a combination trip with the German company Berge & Meer that included a week-long cruise through Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Khasab, and Muscat. One of our favorite experiences was traveling to Phuket, Thailand, where we were able to witness natural beauties and make wonderful friends. Informations
Khao Lak is a group of Thai villages that are currently popular with tourists. Literally translated, “Khao Lak” means “Lak mountain”. One of the principal peaks of Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park’s hilly, minor mountainous region is Lak Mountain, which has a maximum height of 1,050 meters (3,440 feet).

Things to do
For this all-inclusive vacation, which included breakfast in Thailand and an all-inclusive cruise, we spent 1400 euros per person. We were always far from the hotel during the day, so it was fine to only have breakfast because food in Thailand is quite inexpensive. The only issue here is that, naturally, trips were not included, so we had to withdraw more funds from our wallets to cover them. We went to James Bond Island on our first vacation. The reason almost every tourist picked this vacation was to see the location where everything was filmed. James Bond Island
The island, currently called Khao Phing Kan, was largely populated by indigenous groups and remained largely unaltered until 1974. After being chosen as a filming site for the 1974 James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun, its level of international fame increased. Francisco Scaramanga, the antagonist of the movie, used the island as the setting for his lair. Following the release of the movie, Khao Phing Kan had a sharp increase in visitors, making it a well-known travel destination. However, there were drawbacks to Khao Phing Kan’s growing popularity, such as a noticeable rise in litter and environmental damage. In 1981, the island was added to the Ao Phang Nga Marine National Park in order to address these issues and protect the ecosystem.

Our tour guides became our friends, so the following day we went to see some of Khao Lak’s most picturesque locations, including White Sand Beach and Bamboo Rafting.
White Sand Beach
Pak Weep is home to the snow-white, powdered sugar beach, which is conveniently close to Coconut Beach. At midday, the White Sand Beach is especially radiant, and you may enjoy the surreal surroundings twice over while sipping a refreshing drink at one of the quaint beach bars. One of Khao Lak’s most stunning beaches, this sandy one is well worth the diversion.

Andaman View Point

On our fifth day of travel, we left Khao Lak. At five in the morning, we took a car to Phuket Island. We then departed for the Phi Phi Islands, Maya Bay, Monkeys Island, Bamboo Island, and Rang Yai Island in an hour-long speed boat ride. What a dream these islands are!

Maya Bay - Koh Phi Phi Le
Ko Phi Phi Le is the second largest island in the archipelago, larger than Ko Phi Phi Don, at 6.6 square kilometers (2.5 sq mi). The two tiny bays on the island, Loh Samah and Maya Bay, are encircled by a ring of precipitous limestone hills. Because to the coral and shallow seas, it is not possible to reach Maya Bay straight from the sea during low tide. Bamboo Island

The main way that Bamboo Island is connected to Krabi’s tourist attractions is through a speedboat tour. This is because the distance between the longtailboote and its drivers seems a bit too great, and they are already willing to spend a good hour on the boat. With the speedboat, a person from Ao Nang or Railay may arrive there in about fifteen minutes and take advantage of the pre-existing reefs for a swim or just relax for a while on the beach and enjoy the sun.

RangYai Island

The following day, we went to the Night Market and explored Khao Lak on scooters with our pals. We purchased clothing and trinkets for ourselves and our loved ones, and we sampled food prepared by the natives. We had a great time spending our final day at Sairung Elephant Camp with the elephants. We rode, cleaned, and fed the elephants on a glorious day. A memorable encounter!

Phuket Big Buddha
A seated Maravija Buddha statue located in Phuket, Thailand, is known as the Phuket Big Buddha or The Great Buddha of Phuket. Ming Mongkol Buddha is the abbreviation for Phra Phutta Ming Mongkol Eknakiri (Thai: พระพุทธมิ่งมงคลเอกนาคคีรี; RTGS: phra phuttha ming mongkhon eknakhakhiri). Construction started in 2004 and it is located close to Chalong on top of Nakkerd Hill (sometimes spelled Nagakerd). As of 2015, the base was still being expanded. Eighty percent of the project was finished by 2017. After Luangpho Yai and the Great Buddha of Thailand, it is the third-tallest statue in Thailand. The Buddha statue, which is 45 meters (148 feet) tall and 25.45 meters (83.5 feet) wide, shows Gautama seated (Maravichai: มารวิชย). Burmese white marble covers the concrete structure.

Wat Chalong
Among the 29 Buddhist temples on Phuket Island, Wat Chalong is the biggest and most well-known. The temple can be found on Road 4021, approximately 8 kilometers southeast of Phuket Town. Luang Pho Chuang and Luang Pho Chaem, two monks who resided and labored here during the Tin Workers’ Rebellion, are revered here. They were both well-known for their expertise in medicine. A teak cottage attached to the wat holds mementos belonging to the two monks, such as their robes and wax figurines.

Although there are bus lines that connect the bigger towns in the region, if you want to go out for dinner and a few drinks between Baan La On [Khao Lak Town] and Niang, it won’t be very helpful. The only choices available to people in the widely dispersed Khao Lak area are hotel or resort transportation, which is occasionally free and occasionally costly and may not meet your timetable. Local songthaews that operate at erratic hours and typically end at around 6 p.m. During your visit, we recommend renting a car or motorcycle; this is the option that works best for us.
