Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef off the northeast coast of Australia is the largest contiguous collection of over 2,900 individual coral reefs on earth. In 1981 it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is also referred to as one of the seven natural wonders of the world. There are around 1,000 islands in the waters of the Great Barrier Reef and can be seen with the naked eye from space. The Great Barrier Reef has lost more than half of its corals due to high water temperatures as a result of global warming, according to several studies published in PNAS.
The Wheel of Brisbane
The Wheel of Brisbane (also Brisbane Eye) is an Observation Wheel in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is 60 metres (197 ft) tall.It was erected in 2008 at the northern entrance to South Bank Parklands, the transformed World Expo 88 site by the Brisbane River, as part of the 20th anniversary of World Expo 88 and the 150th anniversary of the State of Queensland 1859–2009 celebrations.Its August opening coincided with the annual Riverfire event.Each of the 42 air-conditioned capsules can seat up to six adults and two children providing a total passenger capacity of 336. Australia Zoo
Australia Zoo is a 700-acre (280 ha) zoo located in the Australian state of Queensland on the Sunshine Coast near Beerwah/Glass House Mountains. It is a member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association (ZAA), and is owned by Terri Irwin, the widow of Steve Irwin, whose wildlife documentary series The Crocodile Hunter and his family’s new show Crikey! It’s the Irwins made the zoo a popular tourist attraction.Australia Zoo was opened by Bob and Lyn Irwin on 3 June 1970 under the name Beerwah Reptile and Fauna Park. Their son Steve had helped his parents since childhood to care for crocodiles and reptiles and to maintain the growing number of animals in the zoo. In 1982 the park was renamed the Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park and the area was doubled with the purchase of another 4 acres (1.6 ha). Steve and Terri changed the name of their now growing wildlife park to Australia Zoo. As filming generated extra funds, Steve and Terri put all money raised from filming and merchandise into conservation and building new exhibits. Following Steve’s accidental death from a stingray, Terri became the new owner of the zoo.
Noosa-National Park
The Noosa National Park is located in the southeast of the Australian state of Queensland 121 kilometers north of Brisbane. The park is divided into four sections: Headlands, Peregian, Emu Mountain, and East Weyba. It is the most popular national park in Queensland and has more than a million visitors a year. Several beaches offer swimming opportunities. However, the beaches are not monitored. There is an unofficial nudist beach at the south end of Alexandria Bay. Climbing, fishing, surfing and diving are other sports that can be practiced in the park. Camping is not permitted.

It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Gondwana Rainforests of Australia. The national park can be divided into four areas: the Springbrook Plateau, the Natural Bridge, Numinbah and Mount Cougal. The Springbrook National Park is well developed for tourism. There are numerous hiking trails and many lookout points in the Springbrook Plateau.
Burleigh Head National Park
The promontory drops steeply towards the sea. The formation of Cape Burleigh began 23-25 million years ago. At that time the Tweed volcano was still active. The basaltic lava of the volcano flowed down all the valleys and carved them out. The valleys above Cape Burleigh were entirely covered with hardened sedimentary rock. There are rock platforms and sandy beaches along Tallebudgera Creek. On the coast of the park, black boulders lie at the foot of the cliffs.

When it comes to Queensland’s best shopping sites, downtown Brisbane has several different districts and shopping attractions. Edward Street is another area containing excellent shopping centers and malls, including the Wintergarden and Queens Plaza. Getting Around
Queensland boasts several efficient inner-city bus services. Brisbane’s is the most advanced, with many different routes and schedules. From the heart of the city, it is possible to reach almost any part of the region by bus. Twenty-four hour service is operated by Surfside Buslines in the Gold Coast. Sunbus runs in several cities in Queensland’s northern reaches, including Townsville and Cairns. When it comes to inter-city travel, bus is the cheapest option. Greyhound is the leading company to offer links between major cities along the eastern coastline and in the rural areas.
Queensland rail provides long-distance transportation between major coastal cities and the outer regions and towns of the state. The Inlander travels to Mount Isa from Townsville. Getting here
To reach Queensland there are flights from Brisbane and to Cairns and to the Gold Coast as well. You will get direct flights from other cities of Australia to these places too, and there are domestic flights available from Queensland to have a look around.
