Maheswarnath Mandir

In Triolet, Mauritius, there is a Hindu temple known as Maheswarnath Mandir.  Establishing the shrine in 1888 was Pandit Shri Sajeebunlall Ramsoondur, who was born in Calcutta. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Maheswarnath Mandir has sculptures, elaborate floral patterns, and lovely white pillars. One of Mauritius’ oldest temples, also called Triolet Temple, was established in 1888 by priest Pandit Sanjbunlall Ramsoondur.

The beach’s arc-shaped coastline makes it clearly identifiable. Like the majority of the beaches in the island’s north, this one has white sand, turquoise sea, and is bordered by thousands of massive casuarina trees. A monument honoring the first flight between Mauritius and Reunion can be found near the entrance to the beach of Mont Choisy. You won’t feel crowded on a beach this size, and if you stroll a little up the shore, you’ll find a peaceful spot for lunch or a stroll to take in the beach’s stunning curves. Mauritius includes the island of Îlot Gabriel. Its total area is 42.2 hectares. Roughly 11 kilometers northeast of Cap Malheureux, it is located in Mauritius. Its rectangular rocks are its most famous feature. The long-formed lava rocks are rushed down by fresh water from the Mauritius mountains from a height of about 10 meters. The waterfall is encircled by stunning natural features, including the overgrown riverbed into which it cascades and sugar cane and banana plantations. The sound of Rochester Falls’ flowing water is the only sound disturbing the lovely silence.

Blue Bay Marine Park

Blue Bay Marine Park is a marine reserve situated southeast of Mauritius. In October 1997, the 353 hectares became a national park. The Mauritian Fisheries and Marine Resources Act declared it a marine park in June 2000. The remarkable underwater scenery and distinctive coral garden of Blue Bay Marine Park are well-known. The calm, shallow waters and excellent visibility make this designated marine reserve an ideal place for snorkeling.

The Chamarel waterfall located southwest of Mauritius, in the same-named village. It has the name of the French officer Charles Antoine de Chazal de Chamarel, who lived in this area of the island. The Rivière de Cap plunges into the sea face-first over a rock at this location. The waterfall’s base can be reached via a short trail. From the parking lot in front of it, a staircase leads to an observation deck. Since endemic animal species have a sanctuary in the neighboring canyon, flying foxes are often sighted. It’s close to the Seven Colored Earth.

Ganga Talao
