Statue of Genghis Khan

The statue depicts him holding the crop in his right hand while perched atop a horse. The Mongols’ first great Khan, Genghis Khan, united the Mongol Empire and subjugated most of Asia. With a height more than double that of the previous record holder, a statue in Uruguay, it is currently the highest equestrian statue in the world. The monument, which weighs over 250 tons of stainless steel, was unveiled on September 26, 2008. It is estimated that the building expenses came to about 4.1 million US dollars. Souvenir shops and restaurants are located in the base building. From there, guests can access the horse’s back between the rider’s knees via an elevator.

In honor of Genghis Khan, who is regarded as Mongolia’s founding father, the square was renamed Chinggis Square in 2013, but the previous name was reinstated in 2016. A huge colonnade monument honoring Genghis Khan, Ögedei Khan, and Kublai Khan dominates the plaza’s north face right in front of the Saaral Ordon (Government Palace). In the heart of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, is the Choidschin Lama Temple Museum, a former monastery and Tibetan Buddhist temple complex. A much extensive collection of Cham dancing masks is part of the assets. Between 1904 and 1908, more than 300 expert artisans under the direction of renowned architect Ombo constructed the church building complex for the State Choijin Luvsankhaidav’s religious project. Choijin Lama Mosque was given the first degree of protection in accordance with the Conference of the People’s Republic of China on November 13, 1941. In 1942, it was transformed into a religious museum that, with a special permit, could be visited by prominent domestic and international visitors.

Red Waterfall Mongolian Empire

Perched on a tributary of the Orkhon River, this is one of Mongolia’s top tourist destinations. Water runs through a gorge covered in larches after passing through volcanic rock and falling from a height of slightly over 20 meters. Lava from a volcanic explosion that engulfed the waterfall for tens of kilometers surrounding it produced it. Once you get off the highway, the route to the waterfall is lovely but not very simple. There isn’t any asphalt for over 70 km in the area that follows the highway turnoff. The clay on the road makes it slick after rain. Despite this, the locals drive their Priussen over it. The waterfall is close to picnic areas, cafes, and gift shops. It’s possible to ride horses.

Dashchoilin Monastery

Ulaanbaatar’s Dashchoilin Khiid monastery is an illustration of yurt-style architecture. The Erdene Zuu Lamasery’s 18th-century Lavrin Temple was constructed in the Tibetan style. One example of a temple constructed in the Chinese style is the Choijin Lama Süm temple (1904), which is currently a museum. The 24-meter (0.024-kilometer) Maitreya sculpture and the temple itself are being restored by the Dashchoilin Khiid monastery. Indian architectural styles are also evident in Mongolia, particularly in the Buddhist stupa design.
