Taroko National Park

National Palace Museum

Mengjia Longshan-Tempel-Taipei
In Wanhua District (also called Bangka/Mengjia), Taipei, Taiwan, there is a Chinese folk religious temple called Bangka Lungshan Temple (also called Lungshan Temple of Manka, Mengjia Longshan Temple). During the Qing dynasty, settlers from Fujian constructed the temple in Taipei in 1738 as a tribute to Guanyin. For the Chinese settlers, it was both a place of prayer and a social hub. It has rooms and altars dedicated to Chinese deities like Mazu and Guan Yu in addition to its Buddhist features.The old Lungshan Temple, which was founded in Chin-chiang county, Fukien province, in the seventh century, is where this temple got its name.

Alishan
Taiwan’s Chiayi County is home to the mountainous indigenous township of Alishan Township. Parts of the bordering townships as well as the majority of the township are included in the Alishan National Scenic Area. The headhunting Tsou people have historically inhabited Alishan. Their detailed oral histories recount the migrations of their forefathers from each ancient clan into the region between Yushan and the Chianan Plain. Every clan used to have its own hamlet; Tfuya, the first multi-clan town, didn’t exist until about 1600 CE.Tfuya had about 300 inhabitants in 1647, according to the Dutch occupation, which is when the first recorded account of the Tsou was written. In an effort to recreate the history of the Tfuya people, ethnologists have suggested that three or four generations of family could be represented by each step of clan movement.

Tiger and Dragon Pagodas
A shrine called the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas is situated near Lotus Lake in Kaohsiung, Taiwan’s Zuoying District. In 1976, the temple was constructed. The Dragon Tower is the opposite tower, and the Tiger Tower is the first one. Orange tiles, crimson pillars, and yellow walls adorn the seven-story structure. A bridge spans the gap between the front and the coast. The interior of the temple has murals that show Ksitigarbha. Confucius paintings and paintings of the thirty palaces of the Jade Emperor, along with paintings of twelve Magi, can be found in the Tiger Tower. There are two spiral staircases in the towers, one for people going up and one for those coming down. The old Kaohsiung culture is embodied in this edifice. The 5-mile Pavilion, the Spring and Autumn Pavilions, and the Little Tortoise Mountains are situated above the towers.

Chimei Museum
Entrepreneur Shi Wen-Long established the Chimei Museum in Tainan, Taiwan, in 1992. Since 2014, the museum has been housed in a park in the Rende neighborhood. There are five categories in the collections of the Chimei Museum: Western art includes antiques, relics, swords and armor, natural history, and musical instruments.

Qixingtan Beach
A beach with a Pacific Ocean view, Qixingtan Beach, also known as Chihsingtan Beach, is located in Xincheng Township, Hualien County, Taiwan.Originally, Qixingtan Beach was situated east of Hualien Airport. Its name, Qixingtan, comes from the fact that it resembles the Big Dipper. There are currently just four ponds remaining after the Japanese authorities emptied the lake in 1936 so that the Hualien airport could be constructed. A historic site and municipal park, 228 Peace Memorial Park is situated at 3 Ketagalan Boulevard in Taipei, Taiwan’s Zhongzheng District. The Taipei 228 Memorial Museum, located on the site of a former radio station that broadcast under Kuomintang and Japanese control, and the 228 Memorial Monument, which sits in the middle of the park, are two of the memorials honoring the victims of the February 28, 1947 incident that took place. Located at the north entrance of the park is the National Taiwan Museum. There is also an exercise area and bandshell in the park.

Liberty Square Arch

Taichung Park
Located in Taichung, Taiwan’s North District, lies the urban park known as Taichung Park. In Taichung, this park is the oldest. It is also known as and was constructed during the Japanese occupation of Taiwan. During the Japanese era in 1903, the park was constructed and was initially known as Nakanoshima kōen. The Taichung City Government designated it as a city historical site on April 17, 1999. Taichung Park has been the site of Lantern Festival celebrations in recent years. There is an artificial lake in the park that is 13,530 square meters in size. Additionally, it features two pavilions next to the lake that were constructed to honor the founding of Crossway Railway in 1908.
