Chichén Itzá

Chichén Itzá is one of the most important ruins on the Mexican peninsula of Yucatán. It is located about 120 kilometers east of Mérida in the state of Yucatán. Its ruins date from the late Mayan period. The center is occupied by numerous monumental representative buildings with a religious and political background, from which a large, largely preserved step pyramid protrudes. In the immediate vicinity there are ruins of houses of the upper class.

Cenote from Chichén Itzá

The Sacred Cenote is a water-filled limestone sinkhole at the pre-Columbian Maya archaeological site of Chichen . Itza, in the north of the Yucatán Peninsula. It is located north of the civic precinct of Chichen Itza, to which it is connected by a 300-metre (980 ft) sacbe, a raised causeway.

Tulum

Tulum is located on the so-called Riviera Maya, a stretch of coast on the Caribbean coast of Mexico in the state of Quintana Roo, around 130 kilometers south of Cancun. The inner city is surrounded by a city wall that is open to the sea, with watchtowers on the northwest and southwest corners.

Xcaret

Xcaret is an ecological-archaeological amusement park in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo.There are also many water attractions such as swimming, snorkeling, speed boating … Xcaret is located south of Playa del Carmen on Highway 307, and only 45 minutes south of Cancun. The park can also be reached directly through the Hotel Occidental Grand Flamenco Xcaret, which is located next door. From there you can take a boat to the park through a small canal. However, this is only permitted for hotel visitors.

Xel-Há Park

Xel-Ha Park is a commercial aquatic theme park and ecotourism development located on the Caribbean coast of the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico, in the municipality of Tulum. It is part of Xcaret Experiencias Group which also owns the Xplor Park, Xcaret Park, and Xenses Park; as well as the Xichen, Xenotes, Xavage, and Xoximilco tours and activities. It is situated within the “Riviera Maya”, a region promoted as a tourism corridor along Highway 307. It is approximately 240 kilometres (149 mi) to the north of Chetumal, and 122 kilometres (76 mi) south of Cancun.The park is named after the site of Xelha, an archaeological site of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization, part of which is located within the lands leased to the park. The Maya site of Tulum is nearby, some 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) to the south.

Palenque

Palenque is an archaeological site in the Mexican state of Chiapas, not far from the modern city of Palenque, surrounded by lowland jungle. In the archaeological zone of Palenque are the ruins of a former Mayan metropolis, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. The Lacandon people living near the excavation site are considered to be the direct descendants of the former inhabitants of old Palenque.

National Museum of Anthropology-Mexico City

The National Museum of Anthropology (Spanish: Museo Nacional de Antropología, MNA) is a national museum of Mexico. It is the largest and most visited museum in Mexico. Located in the area between Paseo de la Reforma and Mahatma Gandhi Street within Chapultepec Park in Mexico City, the museum contains significant archaeological and anthropological artifacts from Mexico’s pre-Columbian heritage, such as the Stone of the Sun (or the Aztec calendar stone) and the Aztec Xochipilli statue.

Chapultepec

Chapultepec is a large hill located a few kilometers southwest of central Mexico City in the Delegación Miguel Hidalgo. The Bosque de Chapultepec, with an area of ​​around 4 km², is the largest green space in the center of Mexico City and a popular excursion destination for capital city dwellers.

Pyramid of the Sun from Teotihuacá

The pyramid of the sun is the second largest structure in pre-Hispanic Central America and the third largest pyramid in the world. It is located in the center of the pre-Aztec ruined city of Teotihuacán, around 45 km northeast of Mexico City. In the cityscape of Teotihuacán, the pyramid is located on the Street of the Dead between the Pyramid of the Moon and the Ciudadela in the shadow of the mighty Cerro Gordo massif.

Palacio de Bellas Artes

The Palacio de Bellas Artes is the most important cultural institution in Mexico. The palace is located in the historic center of Mexico City. The monumental building is considered to be the tallest and most important cultural center in Mexico, which is dedicated to theater, dance, music and opera, the visual arts, literature and architecture. For this reason, UNESCO declared the building an art monument in 1987.

Cenote Ik Kil

Ik Kil is a cenote outside Pisté in the Tinúm Municipality, Yucatán, Mexico. It is located in the northern center of the Yucatán Peninsula and is part of the Ik Kil Archeological Park near Chichen Itza. It is open to the public for swimming.The cenote is open to the sky with the water level about 26 metres (85 ft) below ground level. There is a carved stairway that leads down to a swimming platform. The cenote is about 60 metres (200 ft) in diameter and about 48 metres (157 ft) deep.

The Arch of Cabo San Lucas

The arch of Cabo San Lucas is a distinctive rock formation at the southern tip of Cabo San Lucas, which is itself the extreme southern end of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula.The arch is locally known as “El Arco,” which means “the arch” in Spanish, or “Land’s End.”

Hierve el Agua

Hierve el Agua (Spanish for “the water boils”) is a set of natural travertine rock formations in San Lorenzo Albarradas, Oaxaca, Mexico that resemble cascades of water. The site is located about 70 km east of Oaxaca City,and consists of two rock shelves or cliffs which rise between fifty and ninety metres from the valley below, from which extend nearly white rock formations which look like waterfalls. These formations are created by fresh water springs, whose water is over-saturated with calcium carbonate and other minerals. As the water trickles over the cliffs, the excess minerals are deposited, much in the same manner that stalactites are formed in caves.One of the cliffs, called the “cascada chica” (small waterfall) or the Amphitheatre, contains two large artificial pools for swimming as well as a number of small natural pools.One of the artificial pools is very near the edge of the cliff.

Cascadas de Agua Azul

The Cascadas de Agua Azul are waterfalls on the so-called Gringo Trail in the Mexican state of Chiapas. The falls are located 69 kilometers southwest of Palenque on the road to Ocosingo and are flanked on both sides by tropical rainforest. The Misol-Ha waterfall can be found downstream in a side water. In total, the waterfalls consist of over 500 individual cascades that reach a height of two to 30 meters.

Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe

The Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe is a Roman Catholic Church and the National Catholic Shrine of Mexico. The sanctuary with the status of a minor basilica is located on the Tepeyac hill in the Guadalupe district in the northern Gustavo A. Madero district of Mexico City. Here you will also find the old basilica, a parish church, a chapel in memory of the place of the apparition of Mary and a museum.

La Quebrada is one of the most famous attractions in Acapulco, Mexico. The rock is known for its regular cliff jumping events. As a tourist attraction, professional cliff divers, the clavadistas, have been jumping into the water from a height of over 29 meters several times a day since 1934.

The Angel of Independence

El Ángel de la Independencia, or the Monumento a la Independencia, is a monument in Mexico City that is located on a roundabout at Paseo de la Reforma in the city center and is similar in shape and design to the Berlin Victory Column.

Guadalajara Cathedral

The Guadalajara Cathedral or Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady, located in Centro, Guadalajara, Jalisco, is the Roman Catholic cathedral of the Archdiocese of Guadalajara and a minor basilica. It is built in the Spanish Renaissance style, except its neo-Gothic spires.The first cathedral was built in 1541 on the site of the present Templo de Santa Maria de Gracia. This primitive church was built with adobe and a thatched roof. Nevertheless, in 1548 the region was declared a diocese by the Holy See and the church became the cathedral of the city.

The Guadalajara Cathedral or Cathedral of the Assumption is a Roman Catholic church in Guadalajara, capital of the Mexican state of Jalisco. The cathedral of the Archdiocese of Guadalajara with the patronage of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is consecrated to the Virgin Mary and also has the title of a minor basilica. It is built in the Spanish Renaissance style, the neo-Gothic towers were added later.

Fundidora Park (Parque Fundidora in Spanish) is an urban park located in the Mexican city of Monterrey, built in what once were the grounds of the Monterrey Foundry, the first steel and iron foundry in Latin America, and, for many years, the most important one in the region.The Parque Fundidora is located inside the grounds formerly occupied by Fundidora Monterrey, a steel foundry company of great importance to the economic development of the city during the 20th century.

Tamul Waterfall

Tamul Waterfall is a waterfall of Mexico, the leap from the state of San Luis Potosi, on top of the canyon of the Santa Maria River, 300 m water depth larger. Tamil waterfall is 105 meters high. It is located southwest of Ciudad Valles, in the municipality of Aquismón.Born flow of Gallinas River, draining just falling on the bed of the Santa Maria River. The river that feeds renamed Tampaón River, just after the waterfall downstream; all this located west of Aquismón, in the region known as Huasteca. You reach the waterfall along the road from San Luis Potosi to take later a deviation in the town of El Sauz to the ejido Tanchachín, and continue to the community of La Morena, which is due to take a boat to go to the waterfall.
