Things to do

In 2018 we needed fun! And where can young people have more fun than in Ibiza? Christian, my cousin Daniel and we bought this holiday for 8 days.

We booked our hotel from Booking.com in Sant Antoni de PortmanySol Bahía Ibiza Suites, it was very nice and the services where very good as well.

Tickets for the activities we did during the day we bought as usual, from Viator and from Get Your Guide.

We bought the tickets for the clubs and Ocean Beach from Ibiza Spotlight and this time I sincerely advise you to buy your tickets and excursions in advance, on the internet. You will save a lot, because on the island every ticket or trip is with at least 15 euros more expensive.

On the first day we chose to visit the island of Formentera and once there, we opted for the Full Tour. If you want you could chose as well, a private tour to Formentera . It was beautiful and I recommend every tourist to enjoy the beauties of this amazing island. When the night came we decided to go to a party in Pacha club.

Pacha Club

Pacha is a lifestyle and entertainment brand which specializes in nightlife and has club franchises in a number of countries including Brazil, United States, Russia, Germany, England, Egypt, Portugal, Austria and several Spanish cities including Madrid, Valencia, Bilbao and Barcelona. The first Pacha club opened in the beach town of Sitges in 1967 and first expanded to Barcelona and the Catalan coast.

Club Amnesia

When the evening came we went to the Amnesia club. It was a very pleasant atmosphere and the music was great. The Amnesia Club is halfway past the 2 major cities of the island, Sant Antoni de Portmany and Ibiza. We went to Amnesia by bus from Sant Antoni de Portmany, but you can also take a taxi, although it’s quite expensive. Club buses run all night, so you don’t have to worry.

Amnesia Ibiza

When we bought the tickets for Amnesia, we combined them with Boat Party. Here are some memories from the boat.

Boat Party Ibiza

The next day we visited the Waterpark/Aguamar, but it is quite far from Sant Antoni de Portmany and you have to change 2 buses, so we chose to go by taxi, and on the way back we took the bus.

Waterpark/Aguamar

For fun filled sunny days and splashtastic thrills head to the Aguamar Waterpark in downtown Playa d’en Bossa. Packed with exciting, white knuckle water chutes like the Kamikaze and Black Hole, there are also more sedate rides for the tiniest of kids, so all age groups can enjoy the whole day here.Aguamar has changing and locker facilities, plenty of areas to relax, nice lawns to stretch out and catch some rays, a good restaurant, or if you want to bring your own lunch, picnic areas dotted about. Just remember to bring plenty of sun cream for protection in the water!

Here are some pictures taken in Sant Antoni de Portmany.Sant Antoni de Portmany is a town on the west coast of Ibiza, one of Spain’s Balearic Islands. It’s known for its lively nightlife and vast natural harbor, Sant Antoni’s Bay. A promenade runs from the harbor to the beaches of S’Arenal and Es Pouet. Both beaches have calm, shallow waters. Between them, the heritage site, Sa Punta des Molí, is home to a windmill, an olive oil press and a small botanical garden

The next day we spent it at Ocean Beach. It was a pleasant experience, but It was a pity that most of the people does not enjoy the pool, the girls full of makeup, don’t want to wet their hair and tattooed guys wanting to expose their muscles. Sad! But we are ordinary people, without interests, so we enjoyed the pool, the music and the time spent there.

When evening came, we went to the Es Paradis club, which is in Sant Antoni de Portmany. It was a 10 minute walk from our hotel, so we took a walk. Honestly from all the clubs on the island, although it is not so luxurious or well known, we had the most beautiful atmosphere and the best music.

Es Paradis

The next day we had to go to visit some caves, but the trip was canceled so, being already exhausted, we stayed to rest, but in the evening we went by bus to Ibiza, where the club Hï Ibiza is. They have good music. I liked this very big club, in which there are actually several clubs with different music. You can find music to everyone’s liking.

The next day we chose to explore Sant Antoni de Portmany. We went to Cafe del Mar and Cafe Mambo, then we enjoyed a wonderful sunset!

Cafe del Mar

Opened on June 20 1980, Café del Mar has become one of the most iconic locations in Ibiza. Located in front of the Mediterranean Sea facing the mysterious Sa Conillera Café del Mar offers spectacular settings to experience the famous sunset of Ibiza

Cafe del Mar

Cafe Mambo

Café Mambo had humble beginnings, but what started with the small spark of an idea and a dilapidated finca on the coastal rocks of San Antonio has grown into a worldwide phenomenon. Established in 1994 by Javier Anadon, the first ever Mambo opening party was packed largely thanks to word of mouth (that’s how they did it back then!) and soundtracked by Bob Dylan’s The Time’s They Are A-Changin’, a tune that proved prescient. Before long, Café Mambo was the hottest ticket in town and everyone from music industry insiders to tourists and locals were vying for a sunset spot.

On our fifth day on the island we set off by speedboat to Es Vedra, a very interesting geomagnetic island. We also saw the cave of lovers, where if you kiss your partner, it is said that you always stay together. Then we saw from the boat the houses that famous people own and we had the opportunity to swim in the sea.

Es Vedra

Es Vedrà (Catalan pronunciation: [əz vəˈðɾa]) is a small rocky island off the south western seaboard of the Spanish island of Ibiza. The island, which is 413 metres tall, is part of the Cala d’Hort nature reserve and lies 1.5423 miles (2.4821 km) off the coast at Cala d’Hort, which is in the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia. The island is uninhabited.

In the evening we went to the Privilege club, which is close to the Amnesia club.

We only stayed for about 2 hours because there were many drunk 16-17 year old kids who couldn’t stand up anymore. That kind of destroyed the atmosphere..

Privilege Club

Privilege Ibiza, originally known as Ku Club (1979–95),is the “world’s largest nightclub”according to the Guinness Book of Records, also defined as a superclub with a capacity of 10,000 people and encompassing 6,500 m² (69,940 ft²).It is located close to the village of Sant Rafael de Sa Creu (Eivissa), Spain less than one kilometre (0.6 miles) from the nightclub Amnesia.

On our last day on the island we went to Ushuaia to the party held by David Guetta. I want to tell you that although it was very crowded, it was a great atmosphere and we felt great.

Ushuaia

As soon as you land in Ibiza, the party begins – Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Club is only a five-minute drive from the airport. It is part of the Ushuaia Ibiza Hotel. Either you stay there right away (some of the rooms have their balcony on the club grounds) or you come by during the day to be part of one of the legendary parties.

I miss those times and I remember them fondly. I hope you will have the opportunity to enjoy Ibiza as much as we did! We are happy to show you a collage we created with some more memories from all around the island of Ibiza:
