Jardin de Balata
The Balata Garden is a private botanical garden located on the Route de Balata about 10 km outside of Fort-de-France, Martinique, French West Indies. It is open daily; an admission fee is charged.
Anse Mitan
Anse Mitan is a beach in the village of the same name near Les Trois-Ilets. There are over a dozen ferries from Fort de France to here every day. The white sand under the palms attracts many tourists, especially on weekends and school holidays.

Anse Dufour
Anse Dufour – a visit to this place will take you back forty years. Authentic beach in the southwest of the island in the small bay with white, sometimes golden sand. The bottom of the bay is rocky on both sides. This area attracts many researchers of sea bottom. There are a lot of fishing boats and pelicans, shamelessly snatching the catch of the sea workers.
Fort de France Cathedral
The Cathedral of Fort-de-France has been an episcopal church since 1850 and the seat of the Archdiocese of Saint-Pierre et Fort-de-France of the Roman Catholic Church since 1967. The church building can be assigned to historicism. It was restored in 1982 and again in the 1990s and has been a listed building since 1990.
Château Dubuc
The peninsula juts out into the Atlantic like a small dragon leaping. To the north, many small bays line the Presqu’île de la Caravelle, on whose sandy beaches palm trees sway gently in the wind.
To the south, two large bays open onto the sea. When the French conquered the island, the dry rainforest gave way to vast fields of sugar cane. Men like Pierre Dubuc took possession of the country.
Anse Figuier
Located in the town of Rivière Pilote, Anse Figuier, this beautiful and large shaded beach due to the presence of numerous coconut palms and sea grapes, offers you a clean and clear water.Note however the presence of small rocks in the water that are a bit sore feet if you walk on it when swimming.You will not miss to visit the Ecomusée, a former distillery converted into a museum which has remnants of the Caribbean era, picked up on the beach.The Anse Figuier beach has slides and swings, so interesting for children. In addition, wooden tables and benches are provided on the beach for those who wish to picnic.
