We made the decision to travel to Asia in September 2019 and discovered a fantastic deal at Lidl Holidays. We discovered a 12-day round-trip itinerary that included excursions to three countries—Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand—as well as breakfast. We spent 1300 euros a person, and to be honest, given how impoverished these countries are, I didn’t have high hopes for the hotels. But surprise! The breakfast was consistently filling and delicious, the hotels and apartments we were in during this vacation were stunning, and the Lidl organization exceeded our expectations.

The circumstances provided for the price were quite satisfactory to us, and the tour guides who went with us were really kind, funny, and always willing to assist with everything you needed. Naturally, even though our visits were included, we occasionally took a day off. We decided to go to as many as we could. We didn’t spend any time in the hotel. We will now go on to tell you about our travels after informing you about the favorable conditions we experienced. Every day we had trips included in Vietnam; the only additional costs were for lunch and dinner, which were quite reasonably priced. Two people can eat anything they want, including drinks, for fifteen euros.

Things to do

Vietnam War Museum

Day 1: We learned about the atrocities of war at the Vietnam War Museum. To be honest, I felt terrible for the individuals; some of the combat injured sold a variety of trinkets. It was good to see how some travelers were able to assist these folks who had been severely mistreated by fate. One of Vietnam’s seven national museums is the Vietnam Military History Museum, which opened its doors on July 17, 1956. It is 12,800 square meters. It is located close to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and across from Lenin Park in the heart of Hanoi. Located within the museum grounds is Hanoi’s Flag Tower. The museum is made up of a number of buildings. Various buildings within the complex illustrate different periods of Vietnamese military history. The complex’s boundaries also include Hanoi’s Flag Tower. Visitors can climb into the tower’s first two levels, but they cannot reach the spire.

The journal Architecte constructeur: Revue du monde architectural et artistique of September 15, 1891, as translated by historian Tim Doling, noted: “The new Saigon Post Office’s July 14 inauguration had been postponed until the Governor General’s return. This monument pays the utmost tribute to the abilities and skills of the illustrious Chief Architect of the Colony, M. Foulhoux, and is particularly well-equipped and fitted out for the various duties to which it is designed. It has a very artistic façade.

Cathédrale Notre-Dame

Notre-Dame de Saigon, also known as Nhà thờ Đức Bà Sài Gòn or Vương cung thánh đường đức Bà Sài Gòn, is a cathedral located in the heart of Hô Chi Minh-Ville (formerly Saïgon), in southern Vietnam, in the former Cochinchine. The French built it between 1877 and 1880. She is located at the Commune-de-Paris (also known as Công xã Paris in Vietnamese), formerly the site of the Pigneau de Behaine, which marks the beginning of Đồng Khởi Street.Following their conquests of Saïgon and the Cochinchine, the French colonists desired to found an own church and convert themselves to the mission. Indeed, missionaries have been around since the seventeenth century and continue to make a living despite the persecutions they face in the seventeenth century. One of the first churches is built at Rue 5 (now known as Ngô Duc Ke). During the conquest war, the Cochinchinois left this pagode behind. Mgr. Lefèbvre converts her to a church. However, because it was become too small, Cochinchine’s governor, the genial Bonard, decided in 1863 to have a wooden church built on the Charner River (Kinh Lớn). The first stone was laid by Mgr. Lefèbvre on March 28, 1863.

Day 2- We headed to the Củ Chi tunnels and saw the traps made by the Vietnamese in the war. As the round trip to the tunnels takes almost 2 hours, we had the rest of the day off.

Cu Chi tunnels

Part of a much larger network of tunnels that underpin most of Vietnam, the Củ Chi tunnels (Vietnamese: Địa đạo Củ Chi) are a vast network of linking tunnels situated in the Củ Chi District of Ho the question Minh City (Saigon). The Viet Cong used the Củ Chi tunnels as their base fo operations for the 1968 Tết Offensive and as the site of other military operations throughout the Vietnam War.The tunnels served as hospitals, food and weapon depots, housing quarters for many North Vietnamese fighters, communication and supply avenues, and places of refuge for Viet Cong soldiers during combat.

Tuk Tuk ride

After visiting Bangkok, everyone will have a few stories about tuk tuks to share. These distinctive and commonplace little motorized rickshaws are a municipal landmark. Like the city, they frequently cause division in society; some see them as a threat, while others see them as harmless entertainment.

On our last day in Vietnam we sailed in the Mekong Delta and saw the mangrove forest. It was a wonderful experience! Known variously as the Western Region (Vietnamese: Miền Tây) or South-western region (Vietnamese: Tây Nam Bộ), the Mekong Delta (Vietnamese: Đồng bằng Sông Cửu Long, lit. “Nine Dragon River Delta” or simply Đồng Bằng Sông Mê Kông, ‘Mekong River Delta’), is the region in southwest Vietnam where the Mekong River approaches and empties into the sea through a network of distributaries. Over 40,500 km2 (15,600 sq mi) of south-western Vietnam are included in the Mekong delta region. The season affects how much land is submerged in water. Because of its moist coastal terrain, it is a major agricultural and aquacultural resource for the nation.
