We’ll discuss our thoughts after touring these breathtaking villages in this blog post, along with the finest places to stay, eat, and travel to Grindelwald, Interlaken, and Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland. The most amazing and unusual thing about our April trip was how the weather changes drastically every kilometer as you travel to these villages by car. We experienced beautiful autumnal days in Lauterbrunnen after traveling through summer to Interlaken, and stunning winter scenery upon climbing Grindelwald. We are delighted to share our memories of it with you because it was such a special and lovely experience that it will live on in our memories forever.

We finaly got here after our visit to Lucerne and Lungern  and we were very excited on a day trip to these 3 beautiful villages: Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald and Interlaken which we have long dreamed of reaching.

We were thrilled and full of anticipation to see these amazing locations when we departed Munich on the day of our trip to seven nations. After arriving in Zurich, we traveled to Lucerne and Lungern before continuing on to these quaint, fairytale-like settlements.

Harder Kulm

Situated directly north of the spa and congress location, the Harder Kulm is Interlaken’s “local mountain”—actually not a mountain at all, but rather a notable viewpoint of the western Harder. 1321 meters is its elevation, and it is a part of the Emmental Alps. There is a funicular that leads from Interlaken Ost to it.

Hohematte

Höhematte From the promenade, which is home to some of Interlaken’s best hotels, to the towering backdrop of the Jungfrau, Interlaken has been a protected area of historical interest since 1864. The hub of the tourism and vacation area of the same name, Interlaken is the ideal place to start trips to the mountains or to Lakes Thun and Brienz. Additionally, Interlaken is known as the “European Adventure Capital.” Here is one example to demonstrate it: paragliding. Land here on the Höhematte after enjoying a flight above Interlaken.

Casino Interlaken

The Kursaal Gardens in Interlaken, in the Bernese Oberland, are home to the Casino Interlaken. It was established in 1858, but it was only in operation for a year until the Canton of Bern’s gambling laws were changed. It was reopened on July 3, 2002, following an exciting history of previous usage. It was granted a B license in 2001 as part of the new Swiss casino regulations, along with 22 other Swiss casinos.

St. Beatus Caves

In the Bernese canton, the St. Beatus caverns are a collection of stalactite caverns located beneath Beatenberg, close to Interlaken. The northern border of Lake Thun is where the cave system is situated. With a guided tour, it is possible to walk approximately 1 kilometer into the Niederhorn massif’s interior. This is the site of Saint Beatus’s alleged death. Beneath the caves is a portion of the Way of St. James.

Lake Brienz

The Swiss canton of Bern contains the lake known as Lake Brienz (German: Brienzersee), which is located just north of the Alps. It is roughly 14 kilometers (8.7 miles) long, 2.8 kilometers (1.7 miles) wide, and reaches a maximum depth of 260 meters (850 feet). Its surface is 564 meters (1,850 feet) above sea level, and its extent is 29.8 square kilometers (11.5 sq mi).

Lauterbrunnen

The Swiss Alps contain the municipality of Lauterbrunnen. It includes the roaring, 300-meter-high Staubbach Falls and the settlement of Lauterbrunnen, which is situated in a valley with rugged rocks. Aletsch Glacier

In terms of area, the Great Aletsch Glacier is the longest and biggest glacier in the Alps. It is situated in the Swiss canton of Valais on the southern flank of the Bernese Alps. The glacier measures 22.6 km in length and 78.49 km² in area. The Massa empties into the Rhone through the Aletsch Glacier.

Trummelbach falls

Situated in the Swiss Lauterbrunnen Valley, halfway between Lauterbrunnen and Stechelberg, are the Trümmelbach Falls. They are listed in the Swiss federal inventory of landscapes and natural sites of national importance and are situated within the UNESCO World Heritage Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn area. Situated in the Lauterbrunnen valley, immediately prior to Stechelberg, the Trümmelbach plummets into the valley from the east over precipitous cliff walls.

Staubbach Falls

The water from the 297-meter-tall Staubbach flows in Switzerland flows to the valley floor on the left flank of the Lauterbrunnen in the Bernese. The waterfall’s name originates from the water that shoots out in all directions as a result of the ongoing thermal activity. Summertime access to the fall is possible by a rock gallery. Schynige Platte
Botanical Alpine Garden

The Schynige Platte Alpine Garden (German: Alpengarten Schynige Platte) is a botanical garden in the Bernese Oberland area of Switzerland, situated close to the summit of the Schynige Platte mountain at an elevation of roughly 2,000 meters (7,000 feet). It features a display of more than 600 types of plants indigenous to the Swiss Alps and specializes in studying the country’s high altitude flora. The Schynige Platte Alpine Garden Society is in charge of the garden and collaborates closely with the University of Bern’s Institute for Plant Sciences and Botanical Garden of Bern.

Grindelwald

In the Berne canton’s Interlaken-Oberhasli administrative district sits the village and municipality of Grindelwald. Getting Around

In Interlaken, transportation Interlaken Ost and West are home to the train stations. The Interlaken Ost and Interlaken West train stations are connected by the main shopping strip.
