Notre Dame Cathedral
The Église Évangélique Réformée du canton de Vaud, along with Notre-Dame Cathedral, is the primary Reformed church in the city. It served as the Lausanne Diocese’s episcopal church prior to the Reformation. Aquatis Aquarium

Musée de l’Elysée

Place de la Palud
Lovely fountain in Lausanne’s old center, surrounded by hip stores and houses. Although the Saturday market isn’t very big, it does have a decent assortment of locally grown veggies and some cuisine for takeout. Every hour, a small figurine is shown on a city clock. Look it over!

Zoo de Servion
The largest zoo in western Switzerland is located in Servion, in the canton of Vaud, and is called the Zoo de Servion. This area is home to a wide variety of large and small predators; of special note are the successful breeding efforts of the Amur tiger and the binturong, a rare Asian viverrid cat. Monkeys are the favorites of the crowd. A number of marmoset species, including the pygmy marmoset and the cotton-top tamarin, that were once common in South America are now found in Servion.

Parc Olympique
The park narrates the histories of a few previous Olympic Games. Olympic flame is also visible, shining 24 hours a day with three Olympic themes. Additionally, there is a serene view from the Olympic Museum’s outside. The public can use the gardens day and night, and there’s a very good, brand-new, clean, free restroom down by the lake that’s open all day.

Sauvabelin Turm
Located in a wooded area but still reasonably accessible from the city center, this is a very pleasant panoramic site with views over the city and the lake. The playground and a few animals to see make the nearby small park a pleasant place for kids to spend time.

Palais de Rumine
In Lausanne, Switzerland, there is a public structure called the Palais de Rumine. Situated on the western end of the old town, on Place de la Riponne, it is part of the Center district. The structure, which is listed in the Inventory of Cultural Property of National Importance, was constructed in the Florentine Renaissance style between 1898 and 1906, following Gaspard André’s designs.

Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts
The Vaud canton in Switzerland is home to the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts de Lausanne. It was established in 1841 and has been based in the cantonal capital of Lausanne on Lake Geneva since 2019 in the “Plateforme 10” building complex next to the train station.

Getting Around
There are numerous alternatives for local public transit in Lausanne. With a single ticket system that includes buses, trams, and trains, the city has an excellent public transportation system. All of Canton Vaud’s public transportation is covered under the Mobilis pricing system, which enables users to travel the whole network with just one ticket. The local S-Bahn / RER regional train network is centered in Lausanne. Getting here
A minor civil airport, Lausanne Airport is situated north of the city. It is used for general aviation and does not have any scheduled commercial traffic. Swiss rescue services also use it as a base. The closest airport is Geneva Airport (GVA). The distance between the airport and Lausanne is just 60 km, and driving durations of up to 40 minutes are possible thanks to the Autoroute A1’s quick travel.
